Capture and SensesI capture a sniff of the weather outside; it is rain water. It is a delicious smell, breaking into the dark and musty interior of the cart. My nose has seen the view outside and formed the image for me. The rain has brought with it trees, a rustling of wind in the quiet wood. The path is slick with new water. Stones crunch beneath the wheels and the air is tight with chill as my enemies in cotton shirts cross their arms and the herdsmen pull their greatcoats around them. The smell has faded as quickly as it lifted into my nostrils, but the image is permanent. Its cool taste is transitory, but the sweat that I grind on the skin of my joints tr Capture and Senses

How Camus Saved Laura ...I am certain now, she would have murdered me. Several tankers of oil in a car park, full. Oil is like stale milk. Sterile baby shampoo – something she mentioned once. She had locked herself in one of those ‘Wicked’ camper vans near Toronto, but slid out. Her hair was briny hair that day. This was a whistle stop tour of the Canadian border. The parking lot was full of tankers. A granddad sky; lively grey hair on his head telling stories. The air filled with water, the tankers drove out, we sat in and out of a coffee cup and her van and mine too. ConfirmationCraig's grip loosened with the nerve failures and as he fell from the ledge he was immediately overcome with fear. The air rush seemed a noisy fantasy pulling at his ear drums as he plummeted. The face above vanished and to Craig the end seemed overly simplified, the punishment not severe enough. He smacked into a solid surface, slid down it some way taking the pain in his shoulder and back, and fell again off of the structure he had hit.

HomeWe turned into Nairn Road and looked out over the park on the left before the end of the road. The long driveway, starting with a mailbox and lined by tall hedgerows, leads down and curves right, past the big mesh gate marking the beginning of the house and the wooden gate that leads into the garden. Past the flower beds at the front of the house we park, just in front of the sheltered porch area where we see Ava’s little car. The large brick garage stands adjacent, full of old junk.
